International marriages, birth of children and deaths

Matters regarding the marriages of a foreign worker to a citizen of the Republic of Korea or a foreigner shall be governed by the 「Private International Act」.

Matters regarding the nationality of any children born during a foreign worker's sojourn in the ROK shall be determined by the「Nationality Act」 and such children may be enrolled in elementary and secondary schools under the 「Elementary and Secondary Education Act」 in the ROK.

Matters regarding the death of a foreign worker during his (her) sojourn in ROK shall be governed by the 「Funeral Services, etc. Act」 to be buried in the Republic of Korea or repatriated to the home country.
